A close colleague suddenly announced she was going to retire prompted by current circumstances (covid/lockdown) and I urgently needed to find something special for her leaving gift. I contacted Chinasearch. Some items were not held in stock but had to be ordered from the manufacturer. The prices were the most competitive I had found and the lady who took my order was so helpful and understanding. It was above and beyond what was expected. I ordered from the Sara Miller for Portmeirion Chelsea range and the items in stock were received within 48 hours whilst the remainder was ordered from Portmeirion without an estimated delivery date. Only one carriage fee was charged even though the order was split just so my friend would have something to open on her last day when the leaving speeches were being made on MS Teams (weird). Happily the rest of the order arrived well in time to be gift-wrapped and delivered to her house the day before she finished her service (we are civil servants). The china tea set and cake stand was perfect. My friend was completely thrilled and overcome with emotion when she unwrapped it. She would never have bought such beautiful things for herself but she absolutely loves it, and I know she will treasure it as a measure of our regard for her.
