Duchess China

Mr A T Finnery was already an experienced manufacturer of earthenware and bone china when he purchased the Duchess China Works in 1934. Duchess china manufactured bone china teaware for the mass market up until the 1990s and remained in the Finnery family until c. 1990 when it was bought by John Tams.

Today the Duchess China brand name is owned by Grimwades Ltd, and produce bespoke, own label and hotelware still in Stock on Trent.
