The items arrived within the expected international shipping time but were NOT, as far as I can tell, as represented. And I have no way to prove it. They were well packaged. I would not recommend this company nor would I buy from them again. See remarks below.
Denby Castile Blue Fruit Saucer
These look to be knockoffs, or replicas. There is no Denby marking on the undersides. The trim is sketchy in places. I've owned this pattern for years and I never had a tiny bubble or a miscolored small spot. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Comment from Chinasearch:
I am sorry that you are unhappy with the items we sent you. Due to the glazing process back stamps are added post-production, which means they can rub off over time. We do sell Denby items without back stamps, but only if we are certain they are genuine. For more information on the china we sell please see the buyers guide on our website
Comment from customer:
Dear "Jane" -- The Denby Castile pattern was, I believe, issued between 1975 and 1991. I bought mine from 1987 to 1989. The first ten years my Denby was washed in a dishwasher. It is my daily use stoneware and I am very fond of it. It has worn remarkably well. The subsequent years saw my Denby washed by hand and it continued to be my daily tableware. IN ALL OF THAT TIME NOT ONE DENBY LABEL HAS WASHED OFF NOR DIMINISHED TO SUCH A DEGREE THAT I CANNOT READ IT. I know you folks don't think much of the Colonials but just how stupid do you think we are? The bowls you sent me were never stamped. There is not one smudge of a Denby label on any of them. YOU may be certain that "they are genuine". I am not. Your service was fine. Now if only your product was Denby.....
