- Pattern Description
Denby Arabesque pottery was first introduced in 1963 and is one of the most recognised and collected patterns in the Denby pottery range. Gill Pemberton designed the Denby Arabesque pattern, taking inspiration from a trip to Russia.
The pattern has been highly popular amongst china & pottery collectors since being discontinued in 1984. Samarkand was the original name for the collection; however, this was later changed as the same name was used for an exhibited Portmeirion Pottery. The range has since been known as Denby Arabesque China, and there is a vast variety of pieces available here at Chinasearch.
