Palissy Pottery, which was founded in 1946 and later became part of the Royal Worcester group, produced some of the most well-known designs featuring game, bird, and woodland motifs.

To create a woodland inspired tablescape we have gone with quite a busy selection of patterns - Palissy Game Series Birds and Animals, Masons Game Birds, Chantilly and Olde Avesbury. That may seem a bit much, but they are all so rich that they come together to create really sumptuous layers of colour and texture.

You don't have to go the whole nine yards to create this kind of scene - perhaps use a few elements like a game tea plate, a green table cloth, and a pine cone place cardholder. All these little details will soon add up to a dinner table bursting with the vivacity of an autumnal woodland.
