- Pattern DescriptionThe Florida design pattern #8003 was revived by Susie Cooper in 1984 and produced in 1986 on a Cookware range with a Micratex body. The design with two large flowers in various tones of pink and purple demonstrating the layers of the petal added a retro feel to the simple shaped pieces.
Susie Cooper started working with Wedgwood in 1966 when Wedgwood purchased Adams & Sons. Not only was she a designer but also a director of the company, however despite her triumphs, Susie faced an increasing struggle with the corporate structure of Wedgwood and the restrictions this placed on getting designs into production, in 1972 she resigned as a director and operated solely as a designer.
