Chantecler is a breed of chicken that features in the middle of the design with rust coloured borders on the inside and the trim with flowers scattered in between. This was a Wedgwood pattern transferred to Adams for inclusion in its Georgetown Collection and was promptly transferred back c. 1968-70. Subsequently the entire Georgetown Collection appeared under the Wedgwood name.
