It has taken a while (several years) to find the teapot, and I cannot thank the staff enough for persevering for so long. It is exactly as I imagined, and completes my late mother's tea service. I would also like to commend them for the very secure packaging they always use. No worries about damaged goods being received. I have used the company for and woul not hesitate to recommend then to others.

I placed an order for over $700 CAD, based on the premise that Chinasearch searches for, finds and sells vintage or discontinued pieces. This is what the website touts. To my utter dismay, I received recently produced, clunky, chunky Portmeirion pieces, in the Water Garden pattern, made in Bangladesh. The original pieces were made in China are much more refined. These do not match any of my current pieces, are ugly and available for way less money at Amazon.ca or Wayfair.ca. Had I known Chinasearch would be selling me items that are not from the original series in this pattern, I would have never ordered from the UK. So very upset and disappointed! Would it have been such a bother or difficulty to advise clients you are selling the new production stock that is made in Bangladesh, on your website? As a serious collector, how can I ever use your service again? I would give Chinasearch zero stars, if I could.

Over the years and on this recent occasion, I received excellent service from Chinasearch. When one requires a particular piece which is not in stock, one's name goes on a list which is updated online from time to time. When the required item comes into stock, one receives a phonecall or an email with the information - I have happily dealt with Kay for years. One can choose not to have the item or pay online. Thereafter, delivery takes only a few days and the item is extremely well packaged and labelled 'fragile'. On this occasion, having waited some time, I purchased a Royal Albert Old Country Roses Cafetiere which is in excellent condition and is being used as I use this pattern every day and have many matching items collected over a lifetime. I highly recommend Chinasearch.

The service given is excellent, unfortunately, the tea plate is one inch larger than my others but better than nothing, I did know it was 7inches in diameter.
