I placed an order for over $700 CAD, based on the premise that Chinasearch searches for, finds and sells vintage or discontinued pieces. This is what the website touts. To my utter dismay, I received recently produced, clunky, chunky Portmeirion pieces, in the Water Garden pattern, made in Bangladesh. The original pieces were made in China are much more refined. These do not match any of my current pieces, are ugly and available for way less money at Amazon.ca or Wayfair.ca. Had I known Chinasearch would be selling me items that are not from the original series in this pattern, I would have never ordered from the UK. So very upset and disappointed! Would it have been such a bother or difficulty to advise clients you are selling the new production stock that is made in Bangladesh, on your website? As a serious collector, how can I ever use your service again? I would give Chinasearch zero stars, if I could.

I did not receive the plate so I had no service

The China arrived chipped courtesy of ParcelForce with the package looking like it had been run over´ Despite this disappointment - a first - it won’t stop me from continuing to buy Spode Geranium Blue…

I received a very pleasant phone call from Chinasearch about some more Denby plates I wished to purchase and was able to order them over the phone. They came within a few days.

Over 3 weeks from order and still didn't receive my parcel.

Delivery was fine but I was very disappointed with the plates. I wasn't expecting the quality to be anything more than 'fair' as advertised, but the plates I received appear to be rejects. The colours are pale, the glaze appears not fully applied and the weight and finish of the plates is very inferior to my originals (now almost 50 years old but still beautiful).

You sent a coffee cup not a tea cup..it was advertised as a tea cup and I wanted it to match the other five teacups that I have..it is much smaller but too much faff to send back

Terrible service from Chinasearch - very rude lady on the phone when I chased my order after 4 weeks. At no point did anyone at Chinasearch tell me they had to order from Denny (it was showing on the site as available) which is the reason I was given for it taking so long. I could have ordered it direct and received it within a week, but Chinasearch took 16 weeks to fulfill! Anbsolutwly dreadful service and won’t be using again.

I ordered Denny Storm ramekins , but got black ones

Did not give a correct information so we bought china which not what we thought we are buying and due to personal circumstances I can not return as I can not go to the post office. Very poor sale on line

It turned out not to be the item I wanted, which was the 8" serving bowl without a rim. The itemI was sent is just a sort of old fashioned soup plate. Unfortunately the photosthe item on the website was so poor I could not see the rim (I have good vision) and was fooled into thinking it was the serving bowl of similar size which I needed. Now I just need to find out how to return it, otherwise it will go to charity as it is of no use to me.

No goods received yet so very disappointing.

Having logged in with Chinasearch some time ago (possibly six months?) we were delighted when their system contacted us to advise us that our specific requirements had been offered to them. We immediately agreed to accept their offer and the items duly arrived. Their system REALLY works so I am delighted to add our gratitude to Chinasearch

Misleading description did not include the word ‘seconds’

It was all very easy to purchase my teacup & it arrived swiftly

Not clear on website that it is a copy and not a very good copy either.
