Great company let down by parcel force
Chinasearch as a company has always been amazing but each time I struggle with Parcelforce which has no contactable person to discuss delivery options. 1. card left without reference number 2. card left with number so redelivery ordered at cost of £5.70 - Website site claimed they would contact via email to collect 3. no contact after a week so I went in again and tried a second redirect - this time to be contacted via mobile 4. parcel left at work without needing payment but only after a lot of time wasted Please consider using a better delivery service This is not a complaint but to help your customer experience

I am not sure why they were asking for a charge for re-delivery. For the inconvenience caused we will refund you for the postage on this order.

Courteous and competent staff but very expensive.
It was easy to get hold of you and to describe what we were looking for. Our interlocutor was knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. The email update to tell us that the requirements had been located were accurate and timely. In short the service was excellent service with competent and courteous staff but the end product was very expensive!

Mixed experience
My experience of purchasing and visiting your premises has always been good but as someone offering items for sale the experience is very bad. I would say the person I spoke to was rude. I am not alone in in this opinion as others I know say the same. I think you should make it clear from the outset that, despite selling certain patterns and not having the items in stock, you are not actively seeking to buy. It would save a lot of bad feeling.

The delivery took weeks longer than anticipated - I would have appreciated being kept in touch, to save me thinking it was never going to arrive.

A mixed tea set.
Although I am aware that they have considerable overheads, the prices are commensurate with buying brand new china, although the condition of the used china you are buying is excellent, the prices could be more competitive. The staff occasionally seem a bit unapproachable and unfriendly until you engage with them, and then they become more helpful to the extent that they will carry the china to your car etc, but maybe that has more to do with you having just spent the best part of £350.

The purchase was fine. The attitude was irritating however. The bank payment failed due to a systems error. I was not given an apology but an inference that it was my fault ! Basic customer service would suggest that the operation should simply apologise first and just fix this whatever the cause and not try and blame the customer or the 'IT Department'

Good in parts.
For me - I found the website difficult to understand. Finding my choice of china was easy enough, but then I could not understand the symbols/abbreviations used to give more detail. Items which had no illustrations COULD be bought; other items which were illustrated, included information which I could not interpret. It was not always clear EXACTLY what was written underneath (artist's signature or name in script) and the fact that the item was of a later manufacture to the original. This made things particularly difficult for me as I was trying to find exact matches to complete a set of coffee cups and saucers of which I had one item but not the other. Quality of protective packaging, payment method and promptness of delivery were first class.

I ordered two clovelly blue vegetable tereens with lid but one of them was clovelley red not blue. Your product control must have not picked this up. I could not be bothered to post it back so kept it.

I bought four replacement saucers for Villeroy and Boch teacups. Two were perfect but the other two, for the same price, looked ‘faded’. All were the same price. Rather a disappointment.

I was actually quite disappointing. Although the sugar basin was named Vanity Fair compared with my tea service it was a poor imitation.

Disappointing experience
Out of 8 bowls only two were old and matched the china I already had. The remainder were “dishwasher proof” and the colours were more garish.
