China cups came, though they looked identical to originals set we have but they were significantly lighter in weight than originals and clearly imitations of original Johnson’s castles set cups which was disappointing.
Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear you are disappointed with the teacups we sent you. If a pattern was produced over a long period of time there can be slight differences due to different production techniques. This pattern was produced from 1930 to 2003. Please let us know if you would like to return these items.

Unfortunately we had to pay another €100.— for the purchase tax and then another €85.— for the import tax in Sweden. So my purchase was twice the price! No one informed me of this.

In the delivery information on our website, we do state for orders over 150 EUR the recipient of the goods is responsible for all customs formalities at importation and will be required to pay any additional charges, including import duty, formal customs entry, taxes, levies and other charges.
Also, the full landed cost, including duties, taxes and charges, is estimated in the checkout with an option to pay estimated import charges and have the order served as Delivery Duty Paid (DDP).

Tiny plates very expensive for what they are
Wrong item ordered by mistake but had to pay postage bk so ended up keeping them
Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to have new items back if they are unused and have their original stickers attached. You would need to pay the return postage however if you are returning a complete order we would refund the plates and outgoing postage.

The item I ordered from you was back in November was a Christmas present. Finally got it in March. Got a email that the item wouldn’t be arriving until next year. Was offered to cancel or wait for item. I chose to wait for item as my partner wanted the item. Few things I didn’t get was why you wait a few weeks to tell me it wasn’t coming until next year and why let people order if out of stock and especially if it’s not in this country. No offer of a discount. Just a unhappy partner. Got my brand new car quicker than your item I ordered and my came from Romanian!!

Unclean plates
The process of ordering the items was good but when they arrived he side plates were dirty with dried food

The 2 royal worcester coffee cups are extremely small and frankly impractical, unusable! Less than a single shot. I could see the shape was different from my usual choice but I hadn’t appreciated how small! Now have two cups (with no saucers)

I was disappointed in the mugs I ordered. They are big and clunky. My fault I suppose but from the invoice I thought I was getting 3 and I only received 2.

Would be improved by telling you before you buy that two out of the three plates you've bought have lost most of their colour probably due to being washed in the dishwasher.

The china was well packed and arrived safely in excellent condition. However, I ordered it in February and received it in August. I recognise you have supply chain issues, but that was too long.

I wouldn't use Chinasearch again
I tried the Denby website for the replacement bowl I needed, which said it was out of stock and I could register to be emailed when it was available. I did this, as it involved no prior payment and no commitment to purchase if I found one somewhere else in the meantime. I then tried Chinasearch, and the site said the bowl was available, which I took to mean they had some in stock. Despite taking my payment immediately, in fact they couldn't supply it but added me to the Denby waiting list (which I was already on). About a month later, on the same day I received an email from Denby saying the bowl was now available, and one from Chinasearch saying it was being despatched (by Denby). I find this very misleading, and sharp practice to take my money without being able to supply the item.
Thank you for your feedback. We do allow customers to order items from complete ranges and when items need to be ordered from the manufacturer we try and make it clear through the checkout process. When we receive the stock we check it and dispatch from our warehouse in Kenilworth. Sorry that this has not worked out for you on this occasion. In this COVID era, it was dreadful to open my purchase in a box stuffed with newspaper. I will never purchase from you again.
We are sorry that you have not enjoyed receiving your parcel from us. We do use newspaper, both printed and white offcuts, as well other paper and card packaging products. We have found newspaper it to be the ultimate packing material for sending ceramic tableware around the world. We very rarely get breakages and hope that it is easy to dispose of the packaging we use in a way that’s kind to the environment, regardless of where the final delivery is.We do also try and reduce our waste by recycling and reusing packaging. The service for the mint dish was efficient and exactly what I ordered. I am still awaiting a cake knife I also ordered I have not heard a word about this . No communication as to if one is found or when likely to come.

Good communication but poor standards
Although the communication was good, it took half a year for the item to arrive. Initially, I was told there’d be a 2 week delay.
When the time arrived, the gilded parts were of very poor quality. Holes, scratches, blemishes. Chinasearch sent replacement parts, and didn’t bother to check them beforehand. The replacement parts were of the same poor quality when they arrived.

Expect delays and unanswered emails
5 months to complete my order for Wedgewood Gio plates, me constantly chasing, many emails not responded too. Very simply before you take a customers funds, check the item is available then take funds, rather than take funds and have a client chasing for 5mths
