Delighted to find Thomas Medaillon in white! Had dinner service for 50+ years, but with thin gold band. Because that's not compatible with dishwasher it only gets used for special occasions, but now I've got plain white dinnerplates from China search, we can use them every day, supplementing with gold band items that need handwashing (soup bowls, fruit bowls, side plates etc) only when needed. New plates are such a pleasure! Light to handle, and stack beautifully in dishwasher. Still modern, after 50 years! Delivered quickly and well packaged. Very happy.
When we bought Thomas Medaillon dinner service over 50 years ago, we chose the fine gold band variant - it never entered our heads, all those years ago, to consider compatability with a dishwasher (or microwave). Consequently, it's only been used for special occasions when I don't mind occasionally handwashing. Looking to replace our 'everyday' dinner plates, I was delighted to find the Thomas Medaillon dinner service in plain white. We can now enjoy the dinner plates every day (they stack beautifully in the dishwasher as they are so fine) and supplement them occasionally with gold band items which can be handwashed. Luxury every day!
