- About Blue Dawn
Blue Dawn was introduced in 1984 as part of Denby’s ‘Sherwood Collection’. A year before a successful new set of tableware with rounded shapes was designed by Robin Pavitt. The first patterns to use those shapes were ‘Twilight’ and ‘Daybreak’, they were decorated with floral transfer prints and designed by Claire Bernard. The shapes and design were well received that in 1984 Denby decided that the shape would be marketed as the ‘Sherwood Collection’ along with the addition of Blue Dawn by Claire and later Summerfield’s by Thelma Hague.
