Here at Chinasearch, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to curate a colour wheel of beautiful china, featuring both used and new pieces. China is a colourful industry – you only need ask anyone at Chinasearch and they’ll describe the many colours that adorn the china collections and pieces in our warehouse.

And even though most people own white dinnerware, most will also keep a few coloured pieces – maybe some statement serving bowls or plates – to bring out when the mood takes them.

The year 2022 is very much a year of colour and Pantone®, the universal language of colour, named Very Peri (a lavender purple) as its Colour of the Year. According to Pantone®, Very Peri “displays a spritely, joyous attitude and dynamic presence that encourages courageous creativity and imaginative expression”.  

Purple Tableware

Purple is one of eight colours on the Chinasearch colour wheel, alongside Blue, Green, Pink, Turquoise, Yellow, Orange and Red and .
