Denby Chevron meets Natural Canvas

One of the new collections available from Denby Pottery today is Natural Canvas. This beautiful and functional collection is handcrafted at the Denby factory in Derbyshire, where each piece can pass through 20 pairs of artisans’ hands during production. The soft colours and Scandinavian-inspired shapes mix well with the main inspiration for the collection: Denby’s classic Chevron design. A subtle nod to this is the iconic Chevron pattern that features on a few key pieces within Natural Canvas.

Denby Chevron was designed by one of Denby’s most famous designers, Gill Pemberton. Launched in the early 1960s, it soon became a classic and was manufactured until 1980. Denby produced Chevron on the same site – using the same local clay – as Natural Canvas is today. These two designs have a close heritage and look great together.
