Thrilled to find my dinner plate but disappointed with follow-up

I was delighted when Chinasearch contacted me to tell they had a stock of Royal Worcester Francesca dinner plates as I had been searching for two replacements for some time. I was thrilled that my dinner set is once again complete. HOWEVER, I then contacted Chinasearch to ask if they would be interested in buying some of the unused items from my set but was told there was no current demand, but when I asked if they could keep my details on a database as a potential source if someone else started a search, I received no reply. Surely it would useful to know where there might be a future stock of items in case someone, like me, wanted to replace something. A really positive buying experience unfortunately turned sour.
