Quality may be overstated?

The service was great but I wasn't super pleased with the quality of the plate. There were several deep scratches in the glaze that, in my mind, would disqualify it from the very good rating it was given. I'm afraid that they will shorten the plate's lifespan especially when washed in the dishwasher.

As mentioned before, there were several deep cuts in the glaze which, to me, would disqualify this plate from a very good rating.
