- Pattern Description
Masons Denmark features a stunning, bold blue Danish design which has existed in Europe since the very early 1700's. It has been, and still is an iconic and popular pattern which sits on ribbed white china.
The blue Denmark pattern is based on an orignal which was produced in Copenhagen between 1776 and 1779, thanks to Frantz Heinrich Muller. He travelled to Germany to recruit skilled workers, and it's known that he returned back with what was to become known as the 'Danish' pattern. This type of pattern got immediate attention, and become very popular.
With a closer look, the Danish pattern consists of a repeating pattern of mussels and flowers, traditionally in an under glaze blue on a white background. Although the pattern itself is complex, it sits very easiy on the whole range, from plates to teapots.
- ReviewsMr Ronald MachellSep 28th 2020Very small and expensive. Only size of "breakfast cup". I do not consider it value for money.
