Adams Stardust

Adams Stardust

Stardust was among the new tableware patterns brought on line under Adams under Wedgwood. The Susie Cooper design features red star motifs, and was also produced in blue star motifs. The pattern was short lived, starting production in 1983 and ceasing in 1984.

Susie Cooper started working with Wedgwood in 1966 when Wedgwood purchased Adams & Sons. Not only was she a designer, but also a director of the company. Despite her triumphs, Susie faced an increasing struggle with the corporate structure of Wedgwood and the restrictions this placed on getting designs into production, in 1972 she resigned as a director and operated solely as a designer.
